“I wonder why I was scared of trash like that,” Han Seo-hee stood up against Yang Hyunsuk at the court

Han Seo-hee, a former idol trainee who claimed to have been threatened by former YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun-seok, poured out her harsh words against him at the court.

The Seoul Central District Court held its sixth hearing on Yang Hyun-suk‘s alleged threat of retaliation (violation of the Law on Aggravated Punishment of Certain Crimes) on May 30th. Yang Hyun-seok and his lawyer attended the trial and questioned Han Seo-hee, who attended as the witness.

The fifth trial, originally scheduled for May 16th, was postponed on the same day due to the health of witness Han. Former CEO Yang is accused of forcing Han to reverse her statement, conciliating and intimidating her to cover up the drug allegations of B.I (real name Kim Han-bin, 27), a former member of the group iKON, in 2016.

When asked by Yang’s lawyer that “Her attitude at the time of the police cross-examination was different from how she said she was ‘scared of Yang,'” Han said, “It was ridiculous. I wonder why I was scared of trash like that and I didn’t feel the value of being scared,” she showed her anger.

Then she said, “I should’ve recorded it, threatened him. I feel sorry that I couldn’t do it,” she said adding, “I was scared because I almost knew what I would hear (from Yang).”

Regarding the statement, she explained, “I knew that former CEO Yang was on the 7th floor of the building, and I thought so because I was going to go to the 7th floor while I was not an artist.”

Earlier, Han claims that when former CEO Yang found out that she delivered drugs to B.I and use those together, he called her to the company and threatened her. However, former representative Yang completely denies all allegations.

Han Seo-hee was sentenced to three years in prison and four years of probation in 2017 for four marijuana inhalation charges in 2016. She was also caught on suspicion of taking drugs in July last year during the probation period, and was sentenced to one and a half years in prison after the dismissal of her appeal on April 29th.
