(G)I-DLE members boasted about their overwhelming confidence and give “spoilers” about their upcoming concert.
On the afternoon of May 31st, (G)I-DLE Soyeon, Miyeon, and Yuqi appeared on SBS Power FM’s “Cultwo Show”.
On this day, (G)I-DLE expressed their joy about achieving their first music show “grand slam” (winning 1st place on all weekly music shows) with “Queencard” and said, “We are so happy right now. We are happy because the fans like it so much”.
At the same time, the members celebrated the fact that the “Queencard” MV are about to reach 100 million.
The new song “Queencard” delivers the message of realizing that the most important thing is to accept oneself as is, instead of focusing on appearances. Regarding this, Soyeon mentioned that the personalities of (G)I-DLE members closely resemble this message, and that they are proud from beginning to end.
Meanwhile, Yuqi emphasized that she has had the attitude of loving herself since she was born. The (G)I-DLE member also recalled that since she ranked 7th in a school that belongs to her home nation’s top 5%, her mother was extremely against her decision to pursue the idol career.
In addition, when asked if she had to exaggerate her attitude for “Queencard”, Miyeon confidently answered, “My concept for ‘Queencard’ was a queen among queens, a princess character. Actually, I’ve never pretended to be pretty. I’ve never openly done that,” adding, “I wasn’t pretending to be pretty, I was born pretty.”
On the other hand, (G)I-DLE will kick off their world tour with two concerts at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul on June 17th and 18th. Regarding this, Miyeon raised expectations by saying, “The theme of this tour is a festival. I think we’ll be able to experience a real festival-like performance, and as a spoiler, there are a lot of new stages.”
When asked if she has always had high self-esteem, Miyeon replied, “I think I came to love myself because I received love. I also sang a lot of songs that raised my self-esteem.”
“But I was originally beautiful”, she then added with a chuckle.
