“I Don’t Rely On Alcohol Or Sleeping Pills,” Lee Sun-kyun’s Past Interview Suspected To Be Lies Amid Drug Allegations

“Other actors say they have insomnia, but I tend to sleep well. I don’t rely on alcohol and medicine”

Actor Lee Sun-kyun’s interview is suspected to be a lie. Although he said he did not rely on alcohol and medicine, but he turned out to rely on drugs.

In a promotional interview for the movie “Sleep,” which was released on September 6th, Lee Sun-kyun talked about his usual sleeping habits, “Other actors say they have insomnia, but I tend to sleep well. I usually sleep for about six hours“, he said. “When I work without relying on alcohol and medicine, I set an alarm and wake up right on time.” He explained, “On the contrary, my wife Jeon Hye-jin is sensitive and says she can’t sleep because of me.“

Since the movie is about a newlywed husband who suffers from sleepwalking and takes extreme actions, the interview naturally talked about sleeping habits.

However, contrary to Lee Sun-kyun’s interview remarks, he is under investigation for suspected drug use. To make matters worse, Lee Sun-kyun filed a complaint with the prosecution against one undisclosed person, who is related to the case, for threatening him to give that person hundreds of millions of won.

Earlier, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s drug crime investigation team said on October 20th that a total of eight people, including Lee Sun-kyun, Hwang Ha-na, and Han Seo-hee were under investigation.
