Hyoyeon talks about living in Girls’ Generation’s dorm, “SM gives us a big house, so there’s no need to move out”

Girls’ Generation Hyoyeon reveals that she is still living in the dorm with member Yuri.

The new broadcast of MBC’s “Where Is My Home”, which will air on July 27th, shows Girls’ Generation member Hyoyeon doing house hunting.

In this episode, their client is an 8-year-old boy who is worried that his father’s workplace is too far away. Regarding the reason they ask the program for help, the client confesses that his father doesn’t have much time for his family due to the long commute of three hours from their house in Gimpo, Gyeonggi-do to his workplace in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon.

The family’s desired location is in the southern Gyeonggi region within a 30-minute drive to Mangpo Station on the Suin-Bundang Line and they are looking for a house with at least three rooms and two bathrooms. 

Girls’ Generation Hyoyeon joins in this episode. When asked about her experience with house-hunting, she says, “Although I have no experience in looking for houses, I’m quite experienced in moving homes because I’ve been living in Girls’ Generation’s dorm for a long time”. Hyoyeon surprises everyone when she says, “I’m still living in the dorm with Girls’ Generation member Yuri and my manager.” Regarding the reason, she shares, “It’s located in the best position to commute to the company. They give us a big house so there’s no need to move out”

Accompanied by Park Na Rae, Hyoyeon heads to Giheung-gu, Yongin-si. They visit an apartment that takes 25 minutes to drive to the client’s father’s workplace and has an elementary school nearby. The house also boasts an interior as it has been remodeled in 2021.

Hyoyeon and Park Na Rae will perform a cover stage of Girls’ Generation’s debut song “Into the New World” in the large living room. The studio is said to have been heated up by Hyoyeon’s solo dance and Park Na Rae’s twerking in the large living room, the long balcony with a length of 11 meters, and also in the bathroom. Moreover, Hyoyeon also unveils parts of her new song on the show, raising fans’ curiosity.
