Hyeri talks about her childhood in the countryside, “I didn’t even know what a convenience store was…”
Singer-actress Lee Hye Ri (Hyeri) confessed that she grew up with little knowledge about urban life.
On ENA’s variety show “HMLYCP”, which aired in March, Hyeri visited a remote mountain house with (G)I-DLE Miyeon, Lee Jung, Choi Ye Na, LE SSERAFIM Kim Chae Won and Patricia.
As she drove into a village in the countryside, Hyeri shared, “I used to live in a village like this when I was young. When snow piled up in the mountains, I would ride sleds made from fertilizer bags.”
She continued, “I didn’t even know what a convenience store was until I became a middle school student and moved to Seoul. There was a small store in our village. On days for ice cream deliveries, I went to the store to eat ice cream.”
Hearing that, Lee Jung mentioned the role of Sung Deok Sun that Hyeri played in tvN’s drama “Reply 1988”, saying “Our sister is the real Deok Sun”. Hyeri refuted, “Deok Sun lives in the city (Ssangmun-dong, Dobong-gu, Seoul)”, drawing laughter.
“HMLYCP” is an entertainment program that shows the fierce and enjoyable daily lives of six members struggling to settle comfortably in a remote mountainous house.
