Jennie calls BLACKPINK “a nice family”, says they support her during “The Idol”

BLACKPINK Jennie mentions the support she always receives from fellow group members throughout solo schedules.

On May 24th (local time), after her appearance at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival as a cast member of HBO’s “The Idol”, BLACKPINK Jennie had an exclusive interview with media outlet Entertainment Tonight.

Here, the female idol mentioned that as she makes her acting debut under the name Jennie Ruby Jane, she constantly receives huge support from fellow BLACKPINK members (Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa).

In particular, Jennie recalled, “When I was filming for ‘The Idol’ last year, it was while we were filming the music video for our latest album, ‘Born Pink’,” adding, “So they just checked in on me every day. They would call me when I was in L.A. shooting, just making sure that I was doing all right on my own.”

And that support has continued as she promotes the series. “Today, Jisoo texted me, ‘You look beautiful, I’m so happy for you!’. It’s a nice family that we have”, Jennie said.

On the other hand, HBO’s “The Idol”, which features BLACKPINK Jennie alongside Lily-Rose Depp, The Weeknd, Troye Sivan, and more, is scheduled for release on June 4th (ET).
