Actors Hwang In-youp and Hyeri are set to showcase their chemistry in the upcoming Genie TV original drama Dream to You, scheduled for release in 2026.
The drama has already generated buzz with the pairing of global rising star Hwang In-youp and the charming Hyeri, known for her vibrant screen presence. Adding to the excitement, director Yoo Sun-dong—behind hits like Unmasked and The Uncanny Counter—will lead the project, while celebrated writer Jung Eun-bi, who worked on Doom at Your Service, Mr. Sunshine, and Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (Goblin), will pen the script.
Dream to You is a romantic comedy following the reunion of genius film director Woo Soo-bin (Hwang In-youp), who has returned after achieving his dreams, and struggling reporter Joo Yi-jae (Hyeri), who has lost sight of hers. Together, they revisit an unfinished film and an unfinished love from their youth, bringing to life a heartfelt and witty story about passion and second chances.
Hwang In-youp will portray Woo Soo-bin, a visionary director who broke free from his parents’ expectations to chase his own dream—only to discover that his real dream was Joo Yi-jae all along. Hyeri takes on the role of Joo Yi-jae, a talented and hardworking reporter weighed down by regret and hardship, yet still capable of sparking inspiration.
