HYBE’s trainee Nayoung, past work experience re-examined among netizens

“The Debut: Dream Academy” Korean trainees Nayoung’s past work experience is drawing much attention.

On August 29th, the global audition program “The Debut: Dream Academy” (hereinafter referred to as “Dream Academy”) hosted by HYBE X GEFFEN Records (HYBE and Universal Music Group’s joint venture) announced its full-fledged start.

Besides, 20 trainees, who have been chosen through a fierce 6000:1 competition among 120,000 applicants around the world over the past two years, were present. They introduced themselves in English then introduced themselves again in different languages.

Among them, the past work experience of 21-year-old Korean member Nayoung is becoming a hot topic online. Nayoung appeared as the youngest participant on Mnet’s “The Voice of Korea” in 2020 and received a lot of attention by singing BoA’s “Only One”.

At that time, Nayoung perfectly performed “Only One” with her pure and clear voice, showing off her talented side that made BoA, Sung Si Kyung, Kim Jong Kook and Dynamic Duo “all-turn. On top of that, Nayoung made viewers smile with her youthful and fresh visuals as well as bright charm.

Meanwhile, “The Debut: Dream Academy” will be available through its official YouTube channel, Japan’s ABEMA and the global fandom live platform Weverse from 0:00 on September 2nd. The audition will be held for a total of 12 weeks from September 2nd to November 18th. It consists of three mission rounds and the live broadcast “Live Finale”. The final debut group will be announced through “Live Finale”, which is scheduled to be broadcast live on November 18th.
