Hwang Bo-ra, who recently announced her pregnancy, shared her challenging journey with IVF treatment
In a recent video on the YouTube channel “Walk Talk”, Hwang Bo-ra discussed her experience with up to the fourth round of IVF treatment. The video was recorded before the successful pregnancy through IVF treatment.
Hwang Bo-ra recalled visiting the hospital for the first IVF treatment before getting married. Despite a busy schedule with wedding preparations and work in dramas, she expressed her determination to undergo IVF treatment. She remembered the initial failed attempt, realizing her body was not in the best condition at the time.
She also shared an interesting encounter with an oriental medicine doctor who claimed that those who took herbal medicine would conceive during the preparation for the second IVF treatment. She even went to great lengths, including obtaining herbal medicine in the early morning.
She continued to explain that during the fourth IVF treatment, one egg became an embryo. Currently, she has two embryos implanted in her uterus, combining the one collected during the second attempt and the recent one from the fourth attempt.
Hwang Bo-ra stated, “It took exactly one year until now. I feel energetic. My body and condition are very good now,” adding, “Because I’m living a disciplined life, I have some expectations for this time.”
“For a year, I have been taking supplements while walking on this uncertain path without any guarantees of when it will end,” the actress also expressed, saying, “The most challenging part was the waiting process, but it gave me strength, and for while many became tired and cannot continue with fertility treatments, I want to keep trying until it happens.“
In addition, Hwang Bo-ra shows hope for her baby to grow safely and explains that her baby’s nickname, “Ohdeok”, represents her hope that it will be born with five virtues.
Meanwhile, Hwang Bo-ra previously announced the news of her pregnancy on November 19 through SNS, stating that she has been blessed with a baby angel one year after marriage and showing ample love for the life growing inside of her.
