How much did idols get paid for performing at Jamboree K-pop Concert? Former idol trainer reveals shocking facts

The performance fees that idols who attended the Jamboree’s K-pop Super Live Concert received have been disclosed.

On August 10th, former idol trainer & Youtuber In Ji Woong posted a video on his Youtube channel titled “What idols receive from Jamboree… The reason the entire K-pop industry is angry”.

First, In Ji Woong said, “I will talk about how the organizer cleaned the poop of their bad management with K-pop”, adding “I received many calls from people in the K-pop industry. Even the former CEOs of the BIG 3 agencies talked to me and complained, ‘Jamboree is the real problem’.”

In Ji Woong emphasized that the splendid lineup of the 2023 World Scout Jamboree ‘K-pop Super Live’ concert was made possible with “the power of governmental authority”. He explained, “Many groups definitely had schedules that day. Some really canceled their schedules to perform at Jamboree concert. It was also the only day off in the month of some idols.”

He added, “Staff stay up all night since their K-pop idols were called out to the Jamboree concert, saying it made no sense to prepare for such a big concert within three days”.

In addition, In Ji Woong continued to expose the Jamboree concert in the comment section of his Youtube video. He said, “Talking with people in the entertainment industry and I found out that performance fees for idols at the Jamboree concert have not been mentioned yet”, adding “I’ve never seen such a situation in which idols performed without knowing how much they would receive”.

Meanwhile, the 2023 World Scout Jamboree ‘K-pop Super Live’ concert was originally scheduled to be held at Saemangeum Campground on the 6th, but the venue was changed to World Cup Stadium in Mapo-gu, Seoul on the 11th due to the Typhoon Kanun that was expected to move to the north.

IVE canceled their appearance due to schedule issues but announced that they would perform a day before the concert. Regarding this, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Park Bo Gyun said, “We welcome IVE’s decision to voluntarily adjust their schedules and keep the promise to perform at the K-pop Super Live concert”.
