aespa proves immense global popularity as first K-pop artist to perform at Outside Lands Festival

Girl group aespa once again confirmed their syndrome-like global influence.

On August 11th (local time), aespa attended the Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival held at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, US. As the first K-pop group to perform there, the girl group introduces a dynamic setlist reminiscent of a mini concert, drawing keen attention from global music fans.

The Outside Lands Festival is a representative annual outdoor music festival in the US that attracts more than 220,000 audiences every year. aespa appeared on this year’s event lineup together with renowned pop stars, such as Kendrick Lamar, Odesza, Lana Del Rey, etc., certifying the group’s big step into the global music market.

At the Outside Lands Festival, aespa showcased their unique music color and spectacular performances of their new songs, such as “Spicy”, “Salty & Sweet”, and “Welcome to My World”. The girls also showed off their charisma through “aenergy” and enjoyed the loud chanting of the audience for their hit songs “Black Mamba”, “Next Level”, and “Girls”.

In addition, aespa completed their list of 10 songs with the two English tracks “Life Too Short” and “Hold on Tight” featuring live band sessions.

Meanwhile, aespa will hold their world tour around a total of 14 cities in the US, South America, and Europe starting with the LA show on August 13th. They will also release the new English single “Better Things” at 1 p.m. on the 18th (KST).

Earlier, fans expressed concerns over member Winter receiving death threats. In this regard, aespa’s agency SM Entertainment immediately filed a complaint with the police and strengthened security to protect the group.
