Actor Nam Goong-min mentioned “Hot Stove League 2”.
SBS’ drama “One Dollar Lawyer” unveiled a pre-released video for episode 4 on Oct 1st. In the video, Chun Ji-hoon (Nam Goong-min) stopped by “Baek law firm” along with Baek Ma-ri (Kim Ji-eun).
When Chun Ji-hoon doubted the relationship between “Baek law firm” and Baek Ma-ri’s family name, Baek Ma-ri said “There are many Baek clans” then mentioned Baek Jong-won, Baek Ji-young and Baek Yoon-sik.
When Chun Ji-hoon asked “And?”, Baek Ma-ri mentioned Baek Seung-soo, the main character of “Hot Stove League”. Chun Ji-hoon expressed regret, “Oh, there was Baek Seung-soo. Did you watch Hot Stove League? It was fun, but I don’t know why season 2 hasn’t come out yet.”
To Baek Ma-ri’s question “You don’t know?”, Chun Ji-hoon replied “I don’t know” and left. Netizens who watched the video left comments such as “Suddenly connecting worldviews”, “Please do Hot Stove League 2”, “Nam Goong-min is so good at acting like that”…
SBS’ drama “Hot Stove League” (2020) revolves around a baseball team named Dreams, which has been the worst in the league for four consecutive years. It ended with a final viewership rating of 19.1%. Nam Goong-min played the role of Baek Seung-soo, the new general manager of “Dreams”, and won Grand Prize (Daesang) at the 2020 SBS Drama Awards.
