Hong Kong newspapers revealed witnesses of ex-EXO Huang Zitao and former SM trainee Xu Yiyang dating

Huang Zitao and Xu Yiyang, Chinese celebrities fostered by SM Entertainment, were spotted dating in Wangjiao, Hong Kong.

On August 25th, the daily newspaper Mingpao reported, “Huang Zitao (30 years old) and Xu Yiyang (26 years old) were seen shopping together in Wangjiao, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, China. The two refused fans’ requests for photos because ‘they were spending personal time together’”.

Huang Zitao was a Chinese member of SM Entertainment’s boy group EXO from 2012 to 2015. Xu Yiyang was a female trainee in SM’s pre-debut team SMROOKIES from 2016 to 2018.

Mingpao is a prestigious newspaper in Hong Kong with a history of 64 years. Wangjiao refers to a bustling district in Hong Kong, known as Wohng gok or Mong Kok in Korea. Xu Yiyang’s contract with SM ended in 2018 while Huang Zitao’s ended in 2022.

Mingpao stated, “The two wore black short-sleeve tops from the French fashion brand ‘Dior’ like couple items so anyone can tell that they are lovers. We wonder when Huang Zitao will officially publicize his romantic relationship with ‘rumored girlfriend’ Xu Yiyang.”

Huang Zitao and Xu Yiyang have been rumored to be dating since 2020. According to witnesses from people in Wangjiao, Hong Kong reported by Mingpao, the two did not hold hands but they were more affectionate than normal couples.
