Actress Honey Lee has been cast as the lead in the upcoming drama “Aema.”
An entertainment official told JTBC Entertainment News on May 3rd, “Honey Lee will be taking on the lead role in the drama “Aema” (literal title). She will continue her streak of hard work in 2023.”
The drama “Aema” is a fictional comedy that deals with the people involved in making the 1980s film “Madame Aema” in Chungmuro. It will depict the story of the top female star of the time, a rookie actress, the producers, and the director as they go through the process of completing a film with a sexy and comical imagination.
Currently, Honey Lee is focusing on filming for MBC’s new drama “Flower that Blooms at Night,” which is set to air in the second half of this year. She has shown unwavering passion for her work, from this project to her next.
The “Aema” production team is currently conducting major casting and auditions, and is accelerating the production process. The schedule for airing is yet to be determined.
