In K-pop fandom culture, shipping two members of the same group is prevalent. Among the male idol shippings, BTS’s Jungkook and V, with the ship name TaeKook, is highly popular.
During a recent live broadcast, openly gay K-pop idol Holland was asked if he ships TaeKook in the comments. In response, Holland expressed his discomfort with such a question and urged fans not to pry into idols’ personal lives or sexual orientation.
Holland later shared the video on his X account social media, reinforcing his message to respect the privacy of idols when it comes to their relationships and sexuality.
Holland kindly requested fans not to ask him about the sexuality or dating status of any male K-pop idols. It can be disrespectful to them. He has no interest in speculating about LGBTQ+ individuals in the K-pop industry, and even if he knew, he wouldn’t engage in such discussions.
