“Hellbound 2” shows production process with Kim Sung Cheol replacing Yoo Ah In

Netflix has begun producing Season 2 of the original series “Hellbound”.

On August 4th, Netflix Korea’s official channel uploaded a 30-second video showing the production process of “Hellbound Season 2”.

In the video, Kim Sung Cheol, who got cast to replace Yoo Ah In after he dropped out of the project, is seen focusing on the script reading with a serious expression. Other actors, such as Kim Hyun Joo, Kim Shin Rok and Moon Geun Young, also appear. The whole cast was immersing themselves in the script.

At the end of the video, a scene where director Yeon Sang Ho carefully directs the cuts at the filming set is shown. Lastly, Netflix ends the video with the caption “Now in production”.

Earlier, “Hellbound 2” faced various difficulties from the planning and pre-production stage.

Yoo Ah In, who played leader Jung Jin Soo of the cult New Truth Society in Season 1, was scheduled to return in Season 2. However, he withdrew from the project after getting arrested for taking at least five types of drugs, including propofol, marijuana, cocaine, zolpidem, and ketamine.

On July 9th, Yoo Ah In was sent to prosecution without detention. The prosecution is conducting a reinforcement investigation into three suspects, including Yoo Ah In.

As a result, “Hellbound 2” cast Kim Sung Cheol to replace Yoo Ah In and portray the main character Jung Jin Soo.

Attention is focused on whether “Hellbound 2”, which received huge love from drama fans for its interesting story and Yoo Ah In’s creepy acting performance, will once again become a hit even without Yoo Ah In.

Meanwhile, Netflix’s series “Hellbound 2” will continue the story about the supernatural phenomenon in which people are sentenced to Hell by monsters from Hell that appear without notice, the religious cult New Truth Society, which re-emerges in the chaos, and people who want to reveal the truth.
