“Happy New Year” starring Han Ji-min, Lee Dong-wook, Kang Ha-neul, Im Yoon-A confirmed to air in December
Starring TVING’s original film “Happy New Year” (directed by Kwak Jae-yong, produced by Hive Media Corp) unveiled a launching video ahead of its simultaneous release through TVING and theaters in December.
The launching video captivated viewers due to the heart-fluttering year-end atmosphere as well as the emotional narration of So-jin (Han Ji-min) – a hotel manager who has been hesitant to confess to her male friend for 15 years.
So-jin‘s male friend Seung-hyo (Kim Young-kwang) and his fiancee Young-joo (Ko Sung-hee), Yong-jin (Lee Dong-wook) – a young and capable hotel representative – and Lee Young (Won Jin-ah) – who dreams of becoming a musical actress, Jae-yong (Kang Ha-neul) – a guest who decides to spend the end of the year at Hotel Emros – and Soo-yeon (Im Yoon-A) – a hotelier with great pride in her work, Catherine (Lee Hye-young) and Sang-kyu (Jung Jin-young) – who met their first love again after 40 years, singer Lee Kang (Seo Kang-joon) – who reached his heyday by a sudden chart resurgence after being unknown for a long time – and manager Sang-hoon (Lee Kwang-soo) – whose contract is about to expire.
While various stories that will unfold at Hotel Emros – where countless people stay, leave, meet and break up – is stimulating curiosity, the question “Are we going to find a precious relationship at the end of the year?” raises expectations for the work’s warm sensibility and heart-fluttering romance.

On top of that, “Happy New Year” will be produced by Hive Media Corp and helmed by director Kwak Jae-yong of “My Sassy Girl” and “Classic“, which is expected to add credibility to the movie.
