Han Ga In will appear as the host of SNL Korea Season 8, set to air on Coupang Play at 8 PM on May 9. Known for maintaining an elegant and mysterious image for over two decades, Han Ga In is now reportedly ready to completely shatter that persona with one goal in mind: making viewers laugh.
According to the production team, although she has shown a more approachable side through variety shows in recent years, this appearance marks her boldest transformation yet. Insiders revealed that Han Ga In threw away her usual reserved image and fully immersed herself in outrageous comedy performances.

The newly released still cuts already hint at the dramatic contrast audiences can expect. In some photos, Han Ga In recreates the flawless school uniform visuals reminiscent of her iconic film Once Upon a Time in High School, while in others she captivates the cast with her elegant beauty that seems untouched by time.
However, the actress is also said to deliver an unexpectedly over-the-top comedic performance that sharply contrasts her classic “pure beauty” image. Reports even claim that her fearless improvisation became so intense that veteran host Shin Dong Yup reportedly shut his eyes in disbelief during filming.
Meanwhile, the popular Season 8 segment Smile Clinic will introduce a brand-new character expected to create tension between the styling and nursing teams. Curiosity is growing over the identity of the “strong-willed” newcomer who allegedly pushes manager Lee Soo Ji’s patience to the limit.

In addition, the signature segment Weekend Update will feature fast-paced banter between anchor Ahn Young Mi and the show’s Gen Z reporters and interns. The recently viral MUSMA Select Shop skit will also return, promising nonstop laughter throughout the episode.
With Han Ga In’s shocking transformation already generating buzz ahead of broadcast, viewers are eagerly anticipating whether the actress can successfully pull off one of the boldest image changes of her career.
