A famous actress faces KRW15mil compensation for having affairs with a married man, “I did not know he was married” 

Ha Na Kyung has to pay 15 million won in compensation for having affairs with a married man. 

On July 18, the Busan District Court delivered the final verdict on the case of extramarital affairs between Ha Na Kyung and a married man. The court ruled in favor of the victim, A, who demanded 15 million won in compensation for ruining A’s family. 

According to evidence released at the court, the meeting between A’s husband, called B, and Ha Na Kyung began in December 2021 at an entertainment establishment in Busan. They started an official relationship in January 2022. After a trip in April 2022, Ha Na Kyung was pregnant with B’s child.

Initially planning to divorce A, B made a specific plan to marry Ha Na Kyung and immigrate to another country, but A refused to sign the divorce papers. When B did not persist with the divorce, Ha Na Kyung contacted A directly and revealed her relationship with B along with her pregnancy.

Ha Na Kyung claimed that she did not know that B was a married man and only found out in April last year. After that, when the actress found out she was pregnant with B’s child, she contacted him to receive the money she lent him and claimed she did not cheat. Ha Na Kyung also expressed her unfair situation, saying that if she had not revealed it, A would not have known about B’s infidelity; yet, she was falsely accused. Ha Na Kyung is known to have got an abortion after falling out with B.

Her official statement reads, “I told A all the facts to break off my relationship with B, even if I had to raise the baby alone even when I heard that B was getting divorced,” adding, “If it weren’t for me, A wouldn’t have known B’s [real nature] until the end, but I was framed and made a perpetrator,” She showed herself as the victim of “B’s lies and the mental and physical damage caused by the pregnancy and abortion” yet she was still demanded financial compensation. 

Ha Na Kyung made her debut in 2005 in the MBC drama “Chosun Police” and continued building her career with “House With A Nice View” and “Wrestling.” In 2012, she made headlines by wearing a provocative dress at the “Blue Dragon Film Awards.” Later, she changed her name to So Hye Ri. Currently, the actress is working as a broadcast jockey.
