Actress Ha Ji-won stunned viewers after candidly revealing she had been sexually harassed at a club during her early career. The confession appeared in the ending preview of the December 8 episode on the YouTube channel Zzanbro Shin Dong-yup, which teased an upcoming appearance by Kim Sung-ryung, Ha Ji-won, and Jang Young-ran.
The three stars are known to have bonded through their time together on JTBC’s Same-Day Delivery: Our House. During their conversation, Kim Sung-ryung asked whether she could share some behind-the-scenes stories, prompting host Shin Dong-yup—who jokingly referred to himself as the “Animal Farm uncle”—to urge her to spill everything.
Later, Ha Ji-won shared an unexpected and troubling experience from her past. She explained that while promoting a film, she appeared on a music program that required her to dance and perform wave movements. “But I was really stiff,” she admitted honestly. To help her loosen up, people around her suggested not learning choreography, but instead “feeling the mood.”
That advice led her to an unexpected place. “They took me to a Hongdae club and told me to experience the vibe,” she recalled. However, what was meant to be a learning experience quickly turned shocking.
“I went in feeling excited, but the moment I entered, someone touched my butt and ran away. I didn’t even see who it was. I was so startled,” Ha Ji-won said, recounting the incident matter-of-factly.

Her story prompted playful reactions in the studio. Shin Dong-yup joked, “So is that how you became a club regular?” drawing laughter from everyone present. He later added, “Was that the kind of ‘vibe’ they wanted you to feel?” to which Ha Ji-won replied with a smile, “I guess they meant the atmosphere of the space itself, not the dance moves.”
Despite the lighthearted tone of the show, her comment subtly highlighted an issue many women face in crowded nightlife spaces.
Meanwhile, Ha Ji-won is set to appear in JTBC’s new program “Same-Day Delivery: Our Home,” which premieres on Tuesday, December 16, at 8:50 p.m. KST. The show combines mobile housing with local life experiences, offering a unique take on short-term living and travel.
