Two contrasting characters carried out by Ha Ji Won in “Curtain Call”
Recently, “Curtain Call” starring Ha Ji Won is the talk of the town for a distinguished set of actors and captivating storyline. The drama revolves around three central characters: Ja Geum Soon (Go Doo Shim), founder of Paradise Hotel, her granddaughter Park Se Yoon (Ha Ji Won) and Yoon Jae Heon (Kang Ha Neul).
Ja Geum Soon is a poor North Korean woman who was separated from her family during the Hungnam evacuation. Rising from the hardship, she built a glorious career in hospitality. Reaching the end of her life, Ja Geum Soon only has one wish, to see his grandson.
Yoo Jae Heon is hired for the role, leading to a drastic change in his life. Yoo Jae Heon is faced with many obstacles while simultaneously finding the love of his life, Park Se Yeon. In the series, Ha Ji Won takes over two roles, one of Ja Geum Soon’s younger years living in poverty and the other the granddaughter Park Se Yeon. Because of her two different roles, the 44-year-old actress has to convey two distinct characters.
