On the morning of March 12, Thai outlet Sanook reported that actress Grace Chalita is believed to have ended her engagement with wealthy businessman Art Sasomsup. According to sources, the couple recently deleted all photos of each other from their personal social media accounts.

The situation intensified after actress Give Drarpda, Grace Chalita’s older sister, posted a video showing Grace sitting and crying uncontrollably. The clip was accompanied by a caption widely believed to be directed at Art Sasomsup: “Love someone’s daughter the way her parents have loved her. If you can’t take care of her, then at least don’t hurt her.” She also expressed her anger on behalf of her sister, writing, “One day this will only be a nightmare you forget, but I won’t forget it.”

After connecting these details, Thai media and netizens quickly concluded that Grace Chalita and Art Sasomsup had likely ended their engagement. Some viewers also speculated that the problem may have originated from Art Sasomsup’s side, partly because he had previously been involved in cheating rumors.

The reported breakup has shocked many people in Thailand, especially since not long ago the couple dominated headlines with their romantic proposal. Art Sasomsup famously proposed with a huge diamond ring while kneeling in the snow in Finland, creating a scene that many described as straight out of a romance drama. At the time, the public believed the pair were heading toward a lavish “wedding of the year,” and fans flooded them with congratulations. Now, however, news of their split has spread widely across Thai media.

Grace Chalita and Art Sasomsup officially began dating in 2019 and had reportedly been together for about seven years before the engagement cancellation rumors surfaced. When their relationship first became public, Grace Chalita was accused of being the third person involved in Art Sasomsup’s previous relationship with Sasi Sintawee. Amid the controversy, Art denied ever dating two women at the same time.

Art Sasomsup is the son of a powerful former politician in Thailand and comes from the influential Sasomsup family, which holds strong financial and political influence in Nakhon Pathom. The family runs businesses in multiple sectors, including waste management, real estate, and golf courses. Thanks to this immense wealth, Thai media often refer to Art Sasomsup as a “10-billion-baht heir.”
