Goo Hye Sun reveals her plan to return in a K-drama, explains why she has been absent from the small screen

Actress Goo Hye Sun recently announced her plan to return to the small screen via an interview with “Mac & Gina” magazine. 

On July 4th, Mac & Gina released their pictorial and interview with actress Goo Hye Sun, who once starred in the hit drama series “Boys Over Flowers”. In this photoshoot, the actress flaunted her outstanding and feminine beauty, while smiling all innocently and cutely.

Recently, “Dark Yellow”, a short film directed by Goo Hye Sun, won the Audience Awarđ in the Asian Competition category in the 24th Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia. When asked how she felt about such an achievement, Goo Hye Sun said: “My heart was pounding for the first time in a while, and I am also grateful to the staff, actors, film festival judges, and fans who were with me. I will continue to work hard to make movies and return as an actor.”

Goo Hye Sun, who has been engaging in various creative fields such as acting, writing, singing, painting, and directing, expressed her thoughts about art, saying: “I want to express my view of the art world through life and death. Although art varies by genre and field, its basic content about life does not change.” She also shared: “As this year marks the 20th anniversary of my debut,I want to remain as an artist who leisurely takes my own path to the public.”

Throughout her career, Goo Hye Sun has been active in various fields, having recently directed a short film and released a piano new-age album. In her interview with Mac & Gina, the actress also shared her plans to return to the small screen, raising anticipations by saying: “I’m preparing to see you in a drama, but it’ll take a little time to show an impactful role as it’s been a while since I’ve acted in a series.”
