Management SOOP drew their sword against fake accounts impersonating the agency and their actors.
On Feb 8th, Management SOOP said, “We are informing you of recent scams by fake social media accounts and spam DMs (Direct Messages) impersonating the agency and actors.”
They then announced, “Actors under our agency do not have any other social media accounts besides their official Instagram accounts. Company officials, employees, or actors do not send private messages to fans or ask for money.”
The agency continued, “We will take action if you report a private message or fake social media account impersonating our company or actors to our official email address (msoop04@naver.com). To avoid losses, we ask that our fans remain cautious about fake accounts attempting payment fraud.”
Finally, they added, “The agency will do its best to continue monitoring online activities to protect our fans and take legal action if necessary.”
Management SOOP warned many accounts that created fake accounts impersonating the agency and their actors, warning that they would take tough measures in the future.
