“Rookie Actress of the Year” Gong Seung-yeon mentioned TWICE’s Jeongyeon laughing at her
Actor Gong Seung-yeon mentioned her younger sister, TWICE’s Jeongyeon, in her award acceptance speech.
At the 42nd Blue Dragon Film Awards held at KBS Hall in Yeouido on November 26th, the Rookie of the Year Award went to Gong Seung-yeon with the drama “Aloners.” The actress surpassed prominent candidates such as Noh Jung-eui in the movie “The Day I Die: Unclosed Case,” Girls’ Day Min-ah in “Snowball,” Lee Yoo-mi in “Young Adult Matters,” and Jung Soo-jung (f(x) Krystal) in “More Than Family.” She could not hold back tears from the moment his name was called.

So I thought, “I’ve thought too far.” if I knew this would happen, I should have prepared properly.”
She continued, “I dreamed of becoming an actress by watching the movies of the people sitting here, and I have dreamed of the day I could come here as an actress since I started acting. So it was meaningful just to attend, but thank you for giving me such a precious award.”.
She also expressed her gratitude to the actors and staff who worked together with her. Lastly, she made people laugh by saying, “Mom, Dad! Are you watching this? In fact, I felt sad and sorry for making my mom watch the award ceremony from home. But it’s good to be away from mom and dad like this. Let’s stay apart from each other more often.”
