Gong Hyo-jin Talks Love Story with Kevin Oh “I Got His Account Number Before his Phone Number”

Gong Hyo-jin recently guested on tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block.’ 

In a pre-released video, Gong Hyo-jin shyly laughed when asked about her first meeting with Kevin Oh.

She reminisced, “After finishing busy schedules following ‘When the Camellia Blooms,’ when I wanted to enjoy leisure activities, I thought of attending concerts. Just then, I heard that Kevin Oh was having a concert, so I decided to go.”

She continued, “I went to the concert and enjoyed it. He was really cool. After that, there was another overseas musician’s concert, and he said he was going. Coincidentally, I ended up going with him. He said he would buy the tickets, so I got his account number before the phone number,” confessing with a laugh.

Gong Hyo-jin also shared, “After getting his account number, I sent him the money because the overseas musician’s tickets were expensive.” 

Recalling their early interactions, she said, “At that time, I had plans to travel rather than having such feelings. So, I went to the United States, and he happened to be there for a few days. He suggested, ‘How about having a drink?'”

Discussing Kevin Oh’s military service, Gong Hyo-jin expressed her concern, “My real worry is that my husband is in the military, and I have to spend time alone as a ‘Gomsin.’ (t/n: a term for a Korean woman waiting for her partner to return from his enlistment). He went two days ago, and I spent the night in tears, staying up all night.”

In October 2022, Gong Hyo-jin married Kevin Oh, who is 10 years younger than her.

Kevin Oh, born in the United States, holds dual citizenship of South Korea and the United States. His agency announced his sudden enlistment in December.
