GFRIEND’ Comeback Set for January Next Year, Reunite After 4 Years

The group GFRIEND will reunite next January.

According to multiple music industry insiders on the 24th, GFRIEND is launching a new project with the goal of releasing it in January next year. It is said that they are preparing a meaningful gift for fans, marking their 10th debut anniversary in January 2025.

This project will be managed by Source Music, the agency that was with GFRIEND during their debut and growth. Although GFRIEND and Source Music parted ways after their contracts ended, they have maintained a good relationship, which naturally led GFRIEND members to collaborate with Source Music again for this project.

GFRIEND debuted in January 2015, and the six-member girl group received immense love with songs like “Glass Bead,” “Me Gustas Tu,” “Rough,” “Navillera,” “Love Whisper,” and “Time for the Moon Night,” combining emotional melodies with powerful performances.

The group won several awards, including the Rookie of the Year award at the 2015 Melon Music Awards, the New Artist award in digital music at the 2016 Golden Disc Awards, the Best Dance Performance Female Group at the 2016 MAMA, and the Best Female Group in digital music at the 2018 Golden Disc Awards, becoming known as the “Miracle of the Small Company.”

GFRIEND’s activities were halted in May 2021 when their exclusive contract with Source Music expired. Since then, SinB, Eunha, and Umji have been active as the group VIVIZ, while Sowon, Yerin, and Yuju have pursued individual careers in acting and as solo artists.

Now, with their 10th debut anniversary approaching next year, GFRIEND is coming together again to deliver a meaningful gift to their fans who have stood by them for a long time.
