On May 3, Gain posted several photos on her social media account along with the caption, “Fans wanted to see these, so I’m sharing them. See you soon on Bubble.”
In the released photos, Gain showcases a true fashionista vibe, pairing a voluminous short curly hairstyle with a pink knit cardigan, denim pants, and cowboy-style boots. In particular, her unfocused gaze and slightly open mouth create a dreamy, almost surreal atmosphere that draws attention.
Under the post, fellow singer Jo Kwon of 2AM who previously appeared with Gain on MBC’s We Got Married left a supportive comment saying, “GO BABY,” showing his continued affection and encouragement. Netizens also reacted warmly to her natural and relaxed look, commenting, “Isn’t that unfocused gaze Gain’s trademark?” “Brown Eyed Girls’ ‘Abracadabra’ was legendary if you didn’t know them back then, you were missing out,” “It’s so nice to see her face again,” and “The ‘Adam couple’ really feels forever it’s great to see them still supporting each other.”
Gain debuted in 2006 with Brown Eyed Girls’ first full-length album Your Story, going on to release numerous hit songs such as “Come Closer,” “L.O.V.E,” “How Come,” “Abracadabra,” and “Sixth Sense.” In 2021, she faced controversy over illegal propofol use and was fined 1 million won through summary indictment, after which she halted her activities.
Last December, she drew attention by taking her first step back into the entertainment industry, collaborating with Jo Kwon on the OST “I happen to Love You” for the film Even If This Love Disappears From the World Tonight.
