G.Na who faced prostitution fines, the recent meaningful statement “It is not dark that destroys the light”

Jung Yoojin reporter, singer G.Na speaks up about her situation through a meaningful post.

On April 15th on her Instagram, G.Na posted a quote “The dark does not destroy the light; It defines it. It’s our fear of the dark that casts our joy in the shadows”.

This is a quote from writer Brené Brown’s book “The Gifts of Imperfection”.

G.Na who debuted in 2010 was well-known for her songs “I’ll get lost, you go your way”, “2Hot”, “Black and White”. However, in 2016 she was caught up in a long period prostitution incident. She was charged for receiving money to have sexual intercourse with a business man. She defended herself that she was meeting the man because she had developed good feelings for him but in the end she was still charged.

After that she stopped all her activity as a singer and spent tine on self-reflection. One year after the incident, she posted on Instagram saying that she was thankful for everyone who had been waiting for her after one year and that there were mental health rumors and a lot of things going on but she did not give up thanks to her fans’ support and she would see them again someday.

In July 2020, she also posted photos of nature in Canada expressing her gratitude on her 10th year debut anniversary on her Instagram.
