G-Dragon wore a T-shirt of a brand launched by comedian Jo Se Ho.
On July 15th, BIGBANG’s G-Dragon posted a photo of himself wearing a T-shirt from Jo Se Ho’s clothing brand without showing his face on Instagram. G-Dragon also tagged Jo Se Ho’s account in the photo.
Last year, Jo Se Ho collaborated with KOLON Fashion n Culture to launch an online menswear brand tailored to Korean men’s standard height and body types. Jo Se Ho, who is 172cm tall according to his official profile, promoted his brand as “a fashion brand launched for short guys”.
Previously, Jo Se Ho shared an anecdote of receiving limited-edition brand sneakers produced by G-Dragon as a gift when he guested on the YouTube show “Turkiz on the Block.”
When asked if he gifted his brand’s T-shirt to G-Dragon, Jo Je So said, “As colleagues, even if I send it in the sense of ‘I made this, so it’s a gift for you’, for Ji Yong (G-Dragon), who receives plenty of such sponsorships, I thought he might think ‘Did he send me this to ask me to wear it?’ It would lose the sincerity of the gift, so I haven’t sent it yet.”
However, in the video message to G-Dragon, Jo Se Ho said, “Ji Yong, if I send you this T-shirt today, I hope you don’t feel burdened and wear it when you’re most comfortable. I hope you can wear it when you go to the airport.” Jo Se Ho’s suggestion seems to be related to the fact that clothing items worn by fashionista G-Dragon at the airport often become a hot topic.
Recently, G-Dragon and Jo Se Ho met at a dinner party hosted by a brand. After the party, Jo Se Ho also shared photos he took with G-Dragon and contemporary artist Tom Sachs.
Netizens left comments after seeing G-Dragon’s story where he showed support for Jo Se Ho’s brand, “They are closer than I thought”, “So Jo Se Ho did send it to G-Dragon”, “It’s a brand for short men so it suits G-Dragon too”, etc.
