G-Dragon Heads to the US, Embarks on Comeback Activities

On January 5th, G-Dragon departed for Los Angeles, USA. He will reportedly attend the world’s largest consumer electronics and IT exhibition, ‘CES 2024,’ held in Las Vegas from January 9th.

G-Dragon appeared at the airport wearing a beige long coat, a red hat, black sunglasses, and a mask. Some fans recognized him and greeted him.

This marks the first time G-Dragon, who recently announced his return to activities after signing with Galaxy Corporation, has been captured by the public. He did not attend the press conference where Galaxy Corporation announced their contract.

Having revealed plans to make a comeback within the year, G-Dragon shocked fans when he was booked for drug use on October 25th, 2023. Despite consistently claiming innocence, he underwent preliminary drug tests and precise examinations, all resulting in negative findings. Eventually, the case was concluded as unfounded, and G-Dragon was cleared of the charges.

Following this incident, G-Dragon left YG Entertainment, his longtime company, and settled into Galaxy Corporation. On December 21st, Galaxy Corporation held a press conference, announcing G-Dragon’s establishment of a foundation dedicated to eradicating drug abuse.

Having donated 300 million won to the foundation, G-Dragon expressed in a letter, “I want to share opportunities with many people who cannot afford treatment. I also want to play a systemic role in protecting those who experience unjust situations, so that unfair incidents do not repeat for those who are weak and powerless.”

Subsequently, party photos of G-Dragon with acquaintances such as Lee Jung-jae and Lim Se-ryung, Jang Dong-gun and Ko So-young, Lee Min-ho, and others were released, revealing G-Dragon’s recent whereabouts.

Him being captured on his way to the US adds anticipation to how G-Dragon will return confidently in the future.
