G-Dragon Gifts YG Employees Nike KWONDO Sneakers Worth 350,000 Won on YG’s 27th Anniversary
G-Dragon prepared special gifts to YG employees in celebration of the company’s 27th anniversary.
Recently, a photo has been circulating on social media and online communities. The photo features the introduction of Nike KWONDO 1 x PEACEMINUSONE with the caption, “A gift for our employees to commemorate YG’s 27th birthday.”
The person who posted the photo, appearing to be a YG employee, added a comment saying, “This year’s anniversary gift is KWONDO. I haven’t even exchanged the sunglasses you gave me last year, but thank you. But why do you keep giving shoes as gifts?“
This post shows G-Dragon’s generosity as he presents his expensive sneakers to YG employees on the occasion of the company’s 27th anniversary.
In particular, these sneakers are currently being resold on second-hand websites for up to 350,000 won, even though their original price is 229,000 won.
Previously, KWONDO 1 sneakers were traded at around 900,000 won, about 4.5 times the retail price. It is expected that the resale price of this product will continue to rise.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon’s exclusive contract with YG has expired. On June 5th, YG stated, “Regarding (G-Dragon’s) advertisements and other activities, we will cooperate through a separate agreement. We plan to negotiate an additional contract when resuming music activities, and YG will spare no support for him.”
