G-Dragon Denies All Drug Allegations, “I Didn’t Take Drugs”

BIG BANG’s G-Dragon, who is under police investigation on drug charges, released his official position

On October 27th, G-Dragon’s legal representative Kim Soo-hyun, a lawyer at K1 Chamber, said, “I am revealing Kwon Ji-yong (G-Dragon’s real name)’s stance on groundless news that has recently been spreading indiscriminately in the media”

Through his lawyer, G-Dragon said, “I’m Kwon Ji-yong. First of all, I didn’t take drugs. I have nothing to do with reports on ‘violation of the Narcotics Control Act’ released by the media recently”.

He added, “However, this issue has caused concerns to many people, so I will actively cooperate with the investigation by the investigative agency and answer faithfully”.

G-Dragon

Earlier on the 25th, the Incheon Metropolitan Police booked G-Dragon on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act. They believe that G-Dragon illegally administered psychotropic drugs, which may include amphetamine, ketamine, zolpidem, propofol, etc. It is unconfirmed what drugs G-Dragon administered so the police plan to conduct an examination to check the exact types of drugs and the number of doses he took.

In addition, the police emphasized that they are investigating Lee Sun-kyun and G-Dragon separately. G-Dragon is not among the 8 people in the investigation into the entertainment establishment in Gangnam that Lee Sun-kyun went to.

In 2011, G-Dragon was investigated by the prosecutors for smoking marijuana in Japan. At that time, the prosecution suspended the indictment because he was a first-time offender and he did not smoke enough to be subject to drug punishment.
