Future husband and wife Park Shin-hye – Choi Tae-joon disclosed similar opinion on marriage in the past

Actors Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon are leading their happy lives with the announcement of marriage and pregnancy after four years of dating.

Salt Entertainment, Park Shin-hye‘s agency, said on November 23rd, “Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon became lovers in 2017, and on January 22, 2022, the couple will get married at an undisclosed place in Seoul. A precious new life has come to Park Shin-hye as well,” delivering news of their marriage and pregnancy at the same time.

Both of them started out as promising child actors and met as maintained a good relationship as university alumni, which later developed into a romantic relationship.

Park Shin-hye made her debut as the younger version of Choi Ji-woo in the SBS drama “Stairway to Heaven,” while Choi Tae-joon made his debut as the younger Cho In-sung in the drama “Piano” and was praised for his passionate acting. Both of them appeared as child actors for top celebrities and later portrayed main characters under the public’s attention.

Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon’s similar feature, which are their kind and big eyes, catches the attention of the public. Born in 1990, Park Shin-hye is one year older than Choi Tae-joon, born in 1991. They met as a 2008-senior and a 2009-junior at the Department of Theater at Chung-Ang University.

The two, who had already become close friends at university, also acted together for the first time in the SBS drama “King of Dramas” in 2012.

The two also have similar opinions on marriage. Both Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon have expressed their desire to get married soon and have a pretty family.

Choi Tae-joon also appeared on MBC’s “We Got Married” in 2016 and said, “When I was young, I wanted to get married quickly.”

Two people who had the same growing-up process from being child actors, meeting at the same university, and becoming friends are now going to marry each other.

In 2017, the two were involved in dating rumors several times. However, they denied them all through their agencies. Although the couple was caught traveling abroad back in 2017, their agencies refuted, “They met each other by chance due to overlapping schedules”. After that, some people witnessed their date at an arboretum and raised rumors again but received another denial from their company, saying, “There were other people going together, but only two of them whose faces are well-known to the public were mentioned.”

However, after Dispatch revealed several photos of them dating at a beef tripe restaurant run by Park Shin-hye’s parents in 2018 and the previous year, the two eventually publicized their romantic relationship. At that time, Choi Tae-joon drew attention for his polite appearance when hanging out with Park Shin-hye’s mother.

Since then, the two had been dating secretly without mentioning each other in public. Until last year, Park Shin-hye drew keen attention for her remark in an interview for the movie “#ALIVE”, saying, “We are still dating well”. When asked about marriage, Park Shin-hye answered, “I haven’t thought about it yet. It’s something that will happen when it has to”. Therefore, netizen’s interest was focused on Choi Tae-joon.

Recently, Park Shin-hye has attracted attention by revealing her camping moments on SNS. The actress posted a picture showing her wearing an oversized sweatshirt and left a message in her caption, saying, “Heyyy!! I hope my wishes for people whom I love to always be healthy and happy, people with broken hearts to not be hurt anymore and my beloved people to always smile, will come true”. In the picture, Park Shin-hye appeared looking happy in front of the firewood. However, noticing that Park Shin-hye dressed in a comfortable outfit, many people wondered whether she knew that she was pregnant at that time.

In the end, the two actors who look alike and have outstanding visuals have taken a further step as a married couple and received many blessings by announcing the news of a baby who will resemble them.

Park Shin-hye said, “I’m going to marry a friend whom I have been dating for a long time. I’m going to start my married life with the person who has been supporting me for so long and has even covered up my shortcomings as a human Park Shin-hye”. Choi Tae-joon also announced their marriage and Park Shin-hye’s pregnancy, saying, “She is like a savior who silently reminds me of how to smile brightly when I am happy and how to cry out when I am sad. In order to fulfill the love that we feel thankful for, we will make a promise as a married couple.”

Meanwhile, the two will hold their wedding in Seoul on January 22nd next year. They will also become parents in the same year.
