From practicing as Park Yeon Jin to portraying a drug addict, “The Glory” Kim Hieora almost couldn’t do the role

Kim Hieora, who appeared in Netflix’s series “The Glory,” revealed the casting process behind her role as a drug addict in a recent interview.

On March 9th, an interview video of Kim Hieora was released on the YouTube channel “Now Movie.” In “The Glory,” Kim Hieora played the role of Lee Sara, a drug addict.

During the interview, Kim explained how she became involved in the series, saying, “I received the script 30 minutes before the first audition. For each character, such as Sara and Hye Jung (played by Cha Joo Young), we received a script and practiced for the audition.”

She also revealed that she initially thought she was auditioning for the role of Yeon Jin (played by Lim Ji Yeon). Kim Hieora aid, “When I first read the script, I thought I wouldn’t be playing Sara, maybe Yeon Jin? But they chose me to play Sara, and I remember working hard on the role.”

In fact, Kim Eun Sook, the writer of “The Glory,” told Kim Hieora that she believed from the beginning that Kim Hieora was perfect for the role of Lee Sara.

Additionally, Kim surprised viewers by saying that she also wanted to play the role of Ha Do Young (played by Jung Sung Il), a memorable character in the series.

“The Glory” season 2 will be released on Netflix at 5 PM (KST) on March 10th.
