From Lee Seung Gi to Hwasa, dating rumors arise immediately after contract expiration?

Immediately after Hwasa’s exclusive contract ended, dating rumors arose, raising suspicions about the strange timing.

On June 30th, Sports Seoul reported that Hwasa has been dating a businessman 12 years older than her for 5 years. According to the report, Hwasa actively pursued her older boyfriend, and their relationship developed into a romantic one.

So far, Hwasa’s side only stated that they are “investigating” the dating rumor and did not quickly deny it, leading to the perception that Hwasa is indeed in a relationship.

Upon hearing the dating rumors about Hwasa, netizens sent messages of congratulations, but some expressed suspicions at the timing of this rumor surfacing.

In particular, netizens pointed out that Hwasa’s exclusive contract with RBW, the agency she had been with for 9 years since her debut, had recently expired. In fact, it was reported on June 27th that after parting ways with RBW, Hwasa is currently discussing an exclusive contract with P NATION, an agency founded by singer PSY.

This means that immediately after Hwasa left her former agency, she was caught up in a dating rumor. This reminds a lot of people about the past dating rumors involving Lee Seung Gi and Lee Da In.

Back on May 24th, 2021, Lee Seung Gi was rumored to be dating actress Lee Da In, and the two quickly admitted to their relationship.

On the same day, it was also reported that Lee Seung Gi, who had been with Hook Entertainment for 18 years, would be leaving the agency and establishing his own one-person agency.

While it could be a mere coincidence, the fact that dating rumors emerged immediately after contract termination raised suspicions among netizens.

Many have expressed reactions such as “Now that there’s no need to keep it a secret, are they intentionally revealing it?”, “They didn’t renew the contract with the previous agency, so (the companies) deliberately did this,” and “It’s scary how dating rumors emerge immediately after changing agencies.”
