From Lee Min Ho to Song Kang, current whereabouts of Park Min Young’s K-drama male co-stars

Park Min Young’s list of K-drama male co-stars is truly impressive. How are they doing?

Park Min Young is currently appearing in the new rom-com drama “Love In Contract” alongside Go Kyung Pyo and Kim Jae Young. Before these two handsome young actors, Park Min Young was paired up with the most outstanding faces of the K-drama scene. Let’s see who they are and how they are doing.

Lee Min Ho

Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young created much buzz when they became a couple in “City Hunter”. Lee Min Ho recently made headlines with his chic appearance at the Milan Fashion Week.

Earlier this year, he made a comeback to the small screen in “Pachinko”, transforming into a villain for the first time in his career. His portrayal of the character Hansu brought Lee Min Ho plenty of positive reviews on his mature acting and impressive transformation compared to his previous roles. Hansu is also the first character in 13 years that Lee Min Ho was cast through an audition.

After “Pachinko”, Lee Min Ho is set to return alongside Gong Hyo Jin in “Ask the Stars”, a rom-com drama with a high production cost of 40 billion won. It depicts the love story between an astronaut and a space traveler.

Park Seo Joon

It’s impossible not to mention Park Seo Joon in the lineup of Park Min Young’s most memorable male co-stars. The two acted together in “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?” and created a hit drama.

After a long break from the screen, Park Seo Joon is getting ready to be back in various projects. On TV, he will join Han So Hee in the horror historical drama “Gyeongseong Creature”. The drama is penned by “Dr. Romantic” writer Kang Eun Kyung, drawing high expectations.

In cinema, Park Seo Joon is about to appear in “Dream”, a sports-themed movie where he acted alongside IU. Notably, Park Seo Joon is set to make his Hollywood debut next year with an unannounced role in the superhero movie “The Marvels” of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Ji Chang Wook

In 2015, Ji Chang Wook and Park Min Young co-starred in the action romance drama “Healer” and achieved considerable success. The 35-year-old actor then went on to prove his talent in the action genre with “The K2” and “Fabricated City”.

After “The K2”, Ji Chang Wook has continued to stick to the romance and healing genre of dramas. Sadly, aside from “Suspicious Partner” and “Lovestruck in the city”, other series led by Ji Chang Wook in recent years namely “Melting me softly”, “Backstreet Rookie”, and “The Sound of Magic” all failed to generate much buzz.

At the moment, despite possessing a good script, “If You Wish Upon Me” starring Ji Chang Wook and SNSD Sooyoung can not achieve the expected success. In the latest episode, the nationwide rating of the drama, according to Nielsel, was only 1.6%.

However, Ji Chang Wook is expected to have a comeback next year with The Worst Evil. This is an action-crime drama in which Ji Chang Wook is expected to show the best of his acting skills. In addition to Ji Chang Wook, the cast of The Worst Evil also includes Wi Ha Joon, Im Se Mi, and female singer BIBI.

Song Kang will soon enlist in the army after a series of successful works, Park Yoo Chun ruined his career with multiple scandals

A few months ago, Song Kang and Park Min Young together wrote a beautiful love story in the tvN drama Forecasting Love and Weather. The actor will enlist in the army next year according to the law. Luckily, the audience can still meet  Song Kang again before he enlists in seasons 2 and 3 of the series Sweet Home.

In the list of famous actors who used to be the screen lover of Park Min Young, the most regrettable name that can be mentioned must be Park Yoo Chun. The two have achieved huge successes together with the historical drama Sungkyunkwan Scandal. Thanks to the success of the drama, at the 47th Baeksang Awards, Park Yoo Chun won two awards, The Most Popular Actor and Best New Actor. Meanwhile, Park Min Young was also the winner of the Best Actress award in the Drama category at the 2010 KBS Drama Awards.

Around that time, the former member of TVXQ continued to make great strides with Miss Ripley and especially, Rooftop Prince where he co-starred with actress Han Ji Min. It is not an exaggeration to say that “Rooftop Prince” is the most prominent work in Park Yoo Chun’s acting career.

Unfortunately, at the present, many viewers feel disappointed when mentioning the name Park Yoo Chun. The actor’s once successful career has now been ruined by multiple sex and drug scandals.

Park Yoo Chun once announced his retirement from the entertainment industry in 2019 but then quickly made a comeback and worked hard to rebuild everything. In October, the independent movie “To Evil” starring him will officially be released in cinemas all over the world.

Love In Contract is aired every Wednesday and Thursday.
