From BLACKPINK’s Lisa to BTS’s Jungkook, 5 Idols Who Bought Houses Worth Billions

On March 27, the newly purchased home of BLACKPINK’s Lisa was unveiled, attracting attention through a video, drawing attention. 

In the video, Lisa described a luxurious mansion in Seongbuk-dong, Seoul as her house, revealing everything from the entrance to the interiors. She proudly boasted that it is a high-ceilinged two-story mansion that underwent extensive remodeling.

Earlier in 2023, Lisa made headlines for purchasing a two-story detached house in Seongbuk-dong, Seoul, for 7.5 billion won (approx 5.5 million USD) in cash.

Meanwhile, BTS’s youngest member Jungkook is known to have demolished the detached house he purchased 4 years ago and is constructing a five-story mansion.

According to last year’s reports, Jungkook is building a mansion with two basement floors and three above-ground floors on the site of the detached house he acquired. The completion date is set for May 31 of this year.

Previously, in January 2020, Jungkook bought the house for approximately 7.63 billion won (approx 5.6 million USD) in cash. Including the purchase price and construction costs, it is estimated that he paid approximately 10 billion won (7.3 million USD) in cash, surprising the public.

Solo artist IU is known to own multiple properties. According to real estate industry sources in February 2021, she fully cashed out 13 billion won (approx 9.6 million USD) for the purchase of a high-end property in Cheongdam.

Currently, IU resides in a house in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, where other celebrities including her close friend – actress Yoo In-na as well as singers Zico and Crush also reside. 

ASTRO member Cha Eun-woo, known as a “face genius”, previously made headlines for purchasing a house in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul, for 4.9 billion won (approx 3.6 million USD) in cash in 2021.

The property Eun-woo purchased is located within an apartment complex in Cheongdam-dong, which consists of three basement floors and 20 above-ground floors, with the advantage of enjoying a view of the Han River. It was revealed that actress Park Min-young also resides here, albeit on a different floor.

Girls’ Generation member and actress Im Yoona also purchased a luxury apartment in Cheongdam-dong. According to real estate industry sources, Yoona fully cashed out 5.7 billion won (approx 4.2 million won) for the purchase of a luxury apartment in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, in February 2022.
