One of the most pleasant things about watching “Alienoid” (directed by Choi Dong-hoon) is Kim Woo-bin’s active attitude in promoting the movie.
Kim Woo-bin, who regained his healthy after battling nasopharyngeal cancer, has been active again by announcing his first return to the screen in six years through Choi Dong-hoon’s new movie “Alienoid”. Kim Woo-bin plays Guard, who manages alien prisoners. He even acted as Guard’s partner Thunder himself and energized the movie with his charms.
In the acting part, he pulled off high-level actions and even complicated scenes using wires without hesitation. With 100% faith in director Choi Dong-hoon, Kim Woo-bin devoted himself to the work and created impressive action scenes with his outstanding height and sharp movements.
Explaining why he decided to let Kim Woo-bin play 4 characters at the same time, director Choi Dong-hoon commented, “Kim Woo-bin can create completely different characters if he plays two roles so I wanted to make some challenge for him as an actor. The audience seemed to enjoy it a lot”. He also expressed his unwavering trust in Kim Woo-bin, saying “I always wanted to make a film with Kim Woo-bin and show his charms.”
Repay Choi Dong-hoon’s trust, Kim Woo-bin not only performed immersive acting performance in the movie but he is also actively participating in promotional activities before and after “Alienoid” was released with his bright energy.
Kim Woo-bin appeared on MBC FM4U’s “Kim Shin-young’s Noon Song of Hope” together with director Choi Dong-hoon and actress Kim Tae-ri on July 20th. He actively promoted the first part of “Alienoid” with calm and witty talks.
A day later, on July 21st, he continued to guest on SBS PowerFM’s “Cultwo Show” and introduced the movie, saying “The second part will be much more interesting than this first one. You must watch the first part to understand the overall picture before continuing with the second part.”
Kim Woo-bin’s busy schedule for the promotion of “Alienoid” will continue until the end of next week. Together with director Choi Dong-hoon, actors Ryu Jun-yeol, Kim Tae-ri, Jo Woo-jin and So Ji-sub, Kim Woo-bin will meet the audience through stage greeting events in Busan and Daegu on the 23rd and 24th (the first week of the movie release) and at several theaters in Seoul on the 30th in the second week.
