With this performance, BLACKPINK has become the first girl group to hold concerts in large stadiums of 3 continents, as well as the first girl group to sell out a show in Stade De France,

So far, people who went to the show have highly praised the girl group’s energetic performances, impressive costumes, and adorable interactions between the members and with fans.

However, Le Parisien, a French media outlet, expressed a completely different opinion in their review article. In particular, they described BLACKPINK’s Paris concert as “sub-par” and not worthy of the title “Entertainer of the Year 2022”, which was awarded by Time magazine.

According to Le Parisien, BLACKPINK’s two-hour music program managed to excite the crowd but there were “a lot of tears” from “noisy” fans and “teenage girls with visible tights under short skirts.”

The publication also compared BlackPink’s achievements to BTS, emphasizing that the bou group achieved “sold-out” status twice at the Accor Arena (Paris, France), while the YG girls couldn’t even fill Stade De France with fans. According to the author, there was no issue of overcrowding; instead, many seating areas were covered with fabric, and both sides of the stage were empty.

Internet users believe that Le Parisien’s comments about BLACKPINK lack professionalism and respect. They argue that the newspaper denies the accomplishments of the K-pop girl group and intentionally belittles them with a “discriminatory and biased” tone.

As of the moment, Le Parisien has made no responses regarding to the ongoing backlash, as well as the misinformation and discriminatory tone used in their article
