Former U.S. President Obama recommends “Decision to Leave” as one of his favorite movies in 2022

Former U.S. President Obama recommended director Park Chan Wook’s “Decision to Leave”.

He tweeted on Dec 23rd (local time), “I saw some great movies this year – here are some of my favorites.” “Decision to Leave” appeared on the list.

Aside from “Decision to Leave”, “Top Gun: Maverick”, “Everything Everywhere All At Once” and “After Yang” were included.

Every last week of December after his retirement, Obama introduces books, movies and music he enjoyed that year through Twitter.

Meanwhile, “Decision to Leave” was selected as the South Korean entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 95th Academy Awards. The final five films will be announced on Jan 24th next year.

This movie received many nominations, including Golden Globe Awards’ “Best Motion Picture – Foreign Language” and Critics’ Choice Movie Awards’ “Best Foreign Language Film”.

“Decision to Leave” is a story about detective Hae Jun (Park Hae Il) who was investigating a case in the mountains and meeting the deceased’s wife, Seo Rae (Tang Wei) who made him feel both suspicious and interested.
