Former Momoland JooE stands alone: no manager, drives herself to filming site

JooE, who debuted as a member of girl group Momoland, has to stand on her own feet after the group’s disbandment.

On June 7th, Mnet’s “Queendom Puzzle” unveiled a pre-release video ahead of its first broadcast on the 13th. The video featured the contestants who took on the challenge of “Queendom Puzzle” and some of their competition stages.

In this video, JooE, a member of the disbanded group Momoland, appeared for the first time in a while. Here, JooE stated that she is currently standing alone and has become her own artist and manager. To prove this, she said, “I even drove myself to the filming location alone.”

JooE also brought laughter as she made a rookie mistake by mistaking the location of the filming set, resembling a new manager. The female idol also explained that although she has been in the industry for years, she had always slept in the car while moving around, and so was confused about the location.

Furthermore, JooE confidently revealed her ambitious aspiration, saying, “Now that I’m truly alone, I think I need to do twice as well as I did when I debuted.”

Meanwhile, JooE made her debut through the group Momoland in 2016, and later earn huge popularity through the hit “Bboom Bboom” released in January 2018. The song, which is from Momoland’s 3rd mini-album “GREAT!”, managed to top various music charts and reached 600 million views on its music video.

However, following the departure of members Yeonwoo, Taeha, and Daisy, Momoland disbanded on January 27th last year when all members (JooE, Hyebin, Jane, Nayun, Ahin, Nancy) left their agency, MLD Entertainment.
