On November 7th, the Seocho Police Station in Seoul said, “We have completed all investigations on the subject of A, a former employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”

Earlier, A posted on a second-hand online market that he was selling BTS Jungkook’s hat for 10 million won along with a photo of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ “official employee ID”.

A claimed, “It was left in the waiting area when BTS visited the passport office in secret to make passports. The acquirer (seller) acquired ownership because there were no calls or visits for six months after reporting the lost item.”

However, as a result of the police check, there was no report of lost and found related to the hat. As the controversy arose, the police and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs looked into the case, and A deleted the post and said, “I resigned from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”
