Park Jin Young got emotional during “Sing for Gold” broadcast and revealed a sad story about his family story
Singer Park Jin Young confessed that his father is fighting against Alzheimer’s.
Park Jin Young appeared on SBS’s entertainment program “Sing for Gold”, which aired on the evening of November 6th, and gave his evaluation of JOA CHIOR’s performance.
After JOA CHIOR sang “Fine Country” by Siinkwa Chonjang (Poet and a Village Chief) passionately, Park Jin Young said, “If I don’t give any comment on the stage and talk about something else, it means you did such a great job”.
He confessed, “My father doesn’t recognize me because he is in the late stage of Alzheimer’s”, adding, “I thought it was a relief that I couldn’t visit him due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Because I felt so painful when he didn’t recognize me every time I visited him.”
He continued, “I thought if he couldn’t recognize me then he would not recognize his granddaughter if I took her there either”, adding “While watching JOA CHIOR’s performance, I thought ‘No, I have to comment on this stage’, but I couldn’t do that”.
Lastly, he said, “JOA CHIOR is good at grabbing listeners’ hearts. You did it last time, and you did it again today”, pouring out compliments.
