Former DAY6 member Jae apologized on Twitter after calling Jamie a sexual harassment slur

Jae, who recently left Day6, apologized for his rude remarks toward Jamie.

On the 9th, Jae posted an apology to Jamie and his fans on Twitter. He said he wanted to apologize to Jamie and everyone for what he said, adding, “It was most definitely a comment made in poor taste and I feel terrible for making Jamie feel the way she does.” Jae said he realized that what he thought was friendly banter was actually not.

He then said, “In no way was I referencing any kind of physical behavior or energy (trying to take a slight at Jamie), but rather the aura of what people refer to as a ‘baddie’ and thought the two were synonymous. However I do understand that this is in no way an excuse for my comment,” he explained. Jae tagged Jamie’s account in his apology tweet.

Earlier, Jae recently mentioned Jamie on an Internet broadcast and caused controversy by saying, “Now that I’m not in K-POP anymore, I could say this: Why Jamie tryin’ to be a th*t?”

Fans were angry, claiming that what he said was a sexual harassment remark. Jamie then tweeted on Jan 9th, saying, “A what? Just remember how much I cared about you even before you were in your last company and how many times (I asked) if you were alright. I prayed for you. Your questions were like mine. It’s really sad”.

Jamie then added another tweet, “I hate that we as women have to be subjected to mens’ humor to appease incels (who regards themselves as being involuntarily celibate and typically expresses extreme resentment toward those who are sexually active) on the Internet period.”
