Acute alcohol poisoning (which happens when the concentration of alcohol in the blood is deadly high) can lead to coma or death if the symptoms are severe. Poisoning occurs when alcohol spreads into the bloodstream faster than it can be broken down.

Previously Park Bo-ram was found collapsed at an acquaintance’s house in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, at around 10 p.m. on the 11th of last month. The singer was found collapsed in a bathroom while drinking with her acquaintances. She was taken to a hospital but eventually died.

The police requested an autopsy with the consent of the bereaved families to determine the specific cause of death. As a result of the autopsy, no signs of murder or extreme choice were found.
