Filming Staff Exposes “I-LAND 2” PD’s Mistreatment Toward Minor Trainees

The survival program “I-LAND”, which created the boy group Enhypen, sparked controversy right after announcing Season 2

The production team of “I-LAND” recently announced the plan to air Season 2 in April, adding that the show is being filmed. On March 9th, after the announcement, a netizen introduced themselves as a staff for “I-LAND 2” production and made a shocking revelation about the filming site.

The post rapidly spread in online communities, including theqoo, and drew keen attention. According to the post, the staff found the PD’s attitude toward the minor trainees ridiculous. They said, “The contestants could only sleep for two hours at maximum and had to arrive at the filming location early in the morning. During the shoot, some of them looked tired so the PD raised the tension even more.”

The staff further exposed the PD’s behavior, saying “He forced the filming to be delayed for 9 hours and made the staff get off work early in the morning. Isn’t he crazy?”, adding “There is a signboard on the wall telling staff to not mistreat the trainees but, by why didn’t the PD treat them as instructed in the signboard”.

The staff continued, “Some trainees were so scared of the PD that they gathered in small groups just to ask for permission to use the restroom. The filming set was freezing cold because the heating didn’t work. The trainees kept shivering because their clothes were not warm enough”, adding “The set was also full of dust.”

In response to the revelation, netizens poured criticism over the PD and expressed disappointment towards Mnet. Until now, “I-LAND 2” production team has not released any statement regarding this accusation.
