FIFTY FIFTY’s Keena Claims She Had No Role in New Member Selection

Girl group FIFTY FIFTY, now reformed into a five-member lineup, recently shared their thoughts on their comeback.

FIFTY FIFTY made waves last year with their hit “Cupid,” establishing themselves as a global rookie group. However, after facing internal conflicts within their agency, they took some time to restructure, resulting in a new lineup with four new members joining Keena, leading to their comeback with the title track “SOS.”

On the broadcast of KBS Cool FM’s “Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show” on the 30th, the newly restructured five-member FIFTY FIFTY appeared as guests.

During the show, Park Myung-soo introduced FIFTY FIFTY, expressing, “I’ve been curious about when you’d make your return. Last year, you made a huge impact as a K-pop rookie that took over Billboard charts. I’m really grateful that the FIFTY FIFTY members are performing new songs live today. I hope this marks the start of reclaiming your Billboard success and reputation.”

Keena, a founding member, shared her excitement, “It feels like the five of us are creating our first memories together. When I first saw the other four members at the company, I felt a sense of comfort seeing their smiling eyes, and I thought we could really do well together. I’m grateful to be making music again.”

Regarding the warm response to their new song “SOS”, Moon Chanelle expressed, “It doesn’t feel real. This has been a long-standing dream, and I’m so happy to achieve it with the members.” Yewon added, “I was in disbelief on the day we got the confirmation, I cried a lot.”

Keena mentioned, “I didn’t have a role in selecting the members, but I did get to watch their practice sessions. I had been keeping an eye on the four friends, so I’m happy they were chosen.”
