FIFTY FIFTY Collaborates with Sabrina Carpenter to Release Fresh Version of ‘Cupid’ Amidst Legal Disputes

While FIFTY FIFTY is in a contractual dispute with their agency ATTRAKT, a new version of the hit “Cupid” has been released.

On August 18th, FIFTY FIFTY’s agency ATTRAKT released “Cupid” featuring Sabrina Carpenter on the official FIFTY FIFTY YouTube channel. Sabrina Carpenter reinterpreted “Cupid” in her own unique style, giving it a fresh feel. Her distinctive yet clear voice harmoniously complemented the FIFTY FIFTY members, bringing freshness to the listeners.

Sabrina Carpenter has covered various K-pop songs, making her familiar to K-pop fans. Fans left comments, “Her voice is so sweet, and she sings so well,” “Her sweet voice is the best. I support her,” “I can’t stop listening to it,” “Her vocal tone is amazing,” “Better than the original,” “The atmosphere is completely different,” and more.

The newly revived “Cupid” with a fresh voice is anticipated to capture the ears of people around the world once again.

Meanwhile, FIFTY FIFTY, which debuted in November of last year, achieved impressive results on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart with the release of “CUPID” in February, earning the title of the “small and medium-sized miracle.” However, in June of last year, they initiated legal disputes by filing an application for a temporary restraining order against their agency ATTRAKT.

Although the Seoul Central District Court recommended reconciliation, the FIFTY FIFTY members submitted an opinion to the court on August 16th stating that there was no intention for reconciliation. Additionally, on August 17th, they filed a criminal complaint against Jeon Hong Joon, the CEO, on charges of embezzlement.

Amidst these developments, ATTRAKT is drawing attention as they venture to ensure the success of “Cupid” with a new singer, distinct from the FIFTY FIFTY members.
