After ASTRO Moonbin’s passing, consolation and support are being sent to his younger sister, Billlie member Moon Sua.
ASTRO Moonbin was found dead at his residence in Gangnam-gu, Seoul at 8:10 PM on April 19th (KST), at the age of 25. The police are suspecting that Moonbin made an extreme choice, and are currently considering an autopsy to investigate the cause of death.
Moonbin’s agency, Fantagio, later confirmed the news, revealing that the funeral will be held as quietly as possible with the attendance of family members, relatives, and company colleagues, according to the wishes of the bereaved family. The chief mourners are Moonbin’s parents and younger sister Moon Sua, a member of girl group Billlie.
As such, countless Billlie fans in Korea and abroad have not stopped offering comfort and support to Moon Sua. In particular, comments of consolation have been continuously posted on Billlie’s official SNS since the news of Moonbin’s passing was announced.
Fans wrote messages to Moon Sua in various languages, leaving comments such as, “I pray for your pain and sadness”, “No words can comfort you, but I’m always comforting you from behind”, “I pray for the soul of the deceased”, “I can’t fathom the sadness of losing a family member, but I sincerely offer my condolences”, and “I want to comfort the hearts of the deceased and the bereaved family.”
During his life, Moonbin had shown a lot of affection for his sister, Moon Sua. In the MBC entertainment program “DNA Mate” broadcasted last January, he shouted “I hope (Moon) Sua is always happy” before making a bungee jump, expressing his love for his sister.
Meanwhile, Moonbin debuted in the music industry as a member of ASTRO in 2016. In 2020, he formed the unit “Moonbin & Sanha” with fellow ASTRO member Sanha and continued an active career.
On the other hand, Moon Sua debuted as a member of Billlie in 2021. Following the news of Moonbin’s death, Billlie has halted all scheduled activities for the week.
